Standard Definition Digital Terrestrial Receiver MPEG-4

LEGENT SD TUNER MAX is a terrestrial digital receiver Standard Definition. It has, also, a PVR recording function.

SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR LEGENT SD2, Date 27-12-2012

Caution !! The above upgrade is only for LEGENT SD TUNER MAX. Do not use the above software on LEGENT SD, or on LEGENT SD2, because they accept different software. Attempting this, will cause damage to your receiver.

With this firmware, we have the oportunity to save the channel list to USB stick, in the order we want and we can pass it to another receiver Legent SD TUNER MAX.

 

Upgrade instructions LEGEND SD TUNER MAX : 

The receiver-decoder is connected to the TV and turned on from standby.

We Unzip and Copy the last firmware 27-12-2012 in a USB STICK, (we don't change its name and we don't put it inside a folder) and enter the stick into the receiver's USB port.

A message appears: “USB Disk A Connected”.

On the remote control we press Menu – Tools – USB Update and we choose the update file. At the window that appears, we select AllCode and below we see the name file. We press Start and the update process starts. (If the upgrade process does not start, we use USB stick in FAT32 format.) In a few seconds the update process finish and the receiver restarts.

 

We scan the channels and sort them in the order we want. We press Menu - Edit Channel - Channel List Setting - Download and then we press Start. In 2 seconds the process finishes and appears a message "Download Success:. The channel list is saved in USB, in userdb.bin format.

If we make a Factory Reset and the channels are lost, we can restore them from the USB Stick by pressing Menu - Edit Channel - Channel List Setting. We choose Upload and from below we choose the channel file userdb.bin. We press Start. At the message that is appearred we select "Yes". The process finishes and the receiver restarts.

If we want to pass the channel list to a new receiver that has no channels, we first update the receiver with the 27-12-2012 firmware.We press Menu – Edit Channel – Channel List Setting – Upload, we select the userdb.bin file and the channel list is passed to the new receiver in the same order.
