SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR LEGENT HD3, Date 13-10-2015
Caution!!! The above upgrade is only for LEGENT HD3. Do not use the above software on no other model Legent, because they accept different firmwares, which are not compatible with the software LEGEND HD3, so they can cause damage.
Upgrade instructions LEGENT HD3 :
The receiver-decoder is connected to the TV connection, but closed by standby.
We copy the last firmware 13-10-2015 in a USB STICK , (we don't change its name and we don't put it inside a folder) and enter the stick to the decoder's USB port. We turn on from stand by.
After the receiver has been turned on, in a few seconds, a message appears on the TV screen : “Disk connected USB.“.
On the remote control we press Menu – System – Firmware Update – USB Update and we choose the update file : 13-10-2015_Firmware_LegentHD3.bin. Then, the update process starts.
(If the upgrade process does not start, we use USB stick in FAT32 format.)
After the upgrade, we do Factory Settings and check in the System Information if the software release date is indicated 13-10-2015.
Save channels to usb and load channels from usb
We scan the channels and we arrange them with the remote control in the order we want. We insert one usb stick to the receiver. We press Menu – Tools – Update via USB and we choose at the first option: Save Channels in USB. At second option we don't change anything and we press Start at the third option below. In 2-3 seconds, the process finishes and we see a message: Dump OK. We are ready and the channel file is in our USB in .udf format.
If for some reason we do a Factory Reset and the channels are lost, then we can restore them through the USB Stick, pressing : Menu – Tools – Update via USB and we choose the first option: Load Channels from USB. At the second option we choose the channel file .udf that we have saved. At the third option we press Start.
If we want to pass the channel list to a new receiver that has no channels, we make tha same process of Load Channels from USB.
