SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR LEGENT HD in plastic box, Date 19-7-2012
(Do not use the above software for LEGEND HD that are in a metal box or on LEGENT HD TUNER MAX or on LEGENT HD2, because they can be damaged.)
With this upgrade, is solved the problem that mixes the channels in the list, which happens in some areas, due to the decoder additional commands, coming from the transmitter of the digital signal.
Caution !! The above upgrade is only for LEGENT HD in plastic box. Those that were bought after 1-20-2012.
Do not use the above software on LEGENT HD that are in a metal box, those that were bought before 20-1-2012, because they accept different software and they can be damaged. The same applies to the LEGENT HD TUNER MAX and the LEGENT HD2. Do not use it on LEGENT HD TUNER MAX or LEGENT HD2 receivers because they can be damaged.
Upgrade instructions LEGEND HD, in plastic box:
The receiver-decoder is connected to the TV connection, but closed by standby.
We unzip and copy the last firmware 19-7-2012 in a USB STICK, (we don't change its name and we don't put it inside a folder) and enter the stick to the decoder's USB port. We turn on from stand by.
After the receiver has been turned on, in a few seconds, a message appears on the TV screen : “Disk connected USB.“.
On the remote control we press Menu – System – Firmware Update – USB Update and we choose the update file : usb_upgrade_all_flash.bin. Then, the update process starts. (If the upgrade process does not start, we use USB stick in FAT32 format.)
After the upgrade, we do Factory Settings and check in the System Information if the software release date is indicated 19-7-2012.
We scan the channels and we press Menu - Programme - and we select Sort by LCN - Off.
Then we move the channels in the list, in the order we want.
We press Menu - Program and we select PMT to be OFF.
We are ready, the channels will not lose their order again!
SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR LEGENT HD in metal box, Date 16-12-2011
Caution!!! The software below is recommended for metal boxed LEGEND HD receivers purchased before 1/20/2012 and had a software date of 10/22/2011.
Do not use the following software on receivers purchased after 1-20-2012, (those in plastic box) because they use different software, and if we put the metal box software on them, they will become unusable. Also do not use the software on LEGENT HD TUNER MAX receivers.
