COMMANDER 9500 HD is a digital satellite receiver, Full HD resolution. It has a remote control which it can be programmed for the basic functions of the TV. It has, also, a PVR recording function. Enjoy digital satellite channels with perfect picture and sound.

SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR COMMANDER 9500 HD

We copy the last firmware to a USB stick (we don't put it inside a folder).

CAUTION!! Every model accepts only its firmware. If we upload wrong firmware, the receiver can be damaged.

To upgrade COMMANDER 9500 HD we use the firmware 10-3-2020_FirmwareCommander9500HD.abs

The receiver is switched on from Standby and connected to the TV. We insert the stick into the receiver. A message appears on the TV screen: USB Disk A connected.

We press Menu - Tools - Upgrade by USB.

We select: Upgrade Mode: "Firmware+Settings(Channels will be deleted)". If we have made some settings on the receiver that we want to keep, or we have channels loaded and we don't want to lose them, then in the Upgrade Mode we select: "Firmware (Channels will not deleted)".

We select from below the firmware upgrade file (.abs) and we press Start from below. A message appears : "Alert: Do not remove U Disk during upgrading". At the second message that appears : "Are you sure to burn flash?", we press Yes to start the upgrade procedure. After a while the procedure is over the receiver is auto restarting.

Note: The file name .abs that we have saved in the USB stick, we can rename it safelly. We must not change the extension .abs.

At the Upgrade Mode, if we select "defaultdb" or "UserDB", then they will upload only the settings and the channels channels which are built into the .abs software. (Usually the factory software does not include channels, so there will be no channels after the upgrade). Generally we do not use the above 2 options.

SAVE CHANNELS TO USB AND DOWNLOAD CHANNELS FROM USB

Εάν έχουμε κατεβάσει τα κανάλια στο δέκτη και τα έχουμε τακτοποιήσει με τη σειρά που θέλουμε, μπορούμε να τα σώσουμε σε ένα usb stick σε μορφή αρχείου   channels.udb.  Πάμε Menu – Εργαλεία – Save channels to USB..

Εάν αργότερα κάνουμε εργοστασιακές ρυθμίσεις και χάσουμε τα κανάλια, ή θέλουμε να τα φορτώσουμε σε έναν καινούργιο δέκτη, τότε μπορούμε να τα επαναφέρουμε, πατώντας Menu – Εργαλεία – Load channels from USB..  Ο δέκτης θα επιλέξει να φορτώσει αυτόματα το αρχείο channels.udb,  από το USB. stick.

Σημείωση: Το όνομα του αρχείου καναλιών : channels.udb, δεν πρέπει να το μετονομάσουμε.  Εάν μετονομάσουμε αυτό το αρχείο, τότε ο δέκτης δεν το δέχεται και δεν ξεκινάει η διαδικασία φορτώματος καναλιών.    Το αρχείο καναλιών channels.udb,  πρέπει να βρίσκεται στο root του usb stick (δηλαδή να μην το έχουμε μέσα σε κάποιο φάκελο).

BACKUP SYSTEM

Εάν έχουμε αναβαθμίσει το δέκτη και έχουμε κατεβάσει τα κανάλια, τα έχουμε τακτοποιήσει με τη σειρά που θέλουμε και επίσης έχουμε κάνει τις ρυθμίσεις που θέλουμε,  τότε μπορούμε να κάνουμε ένα Γενικό Backup στο σύστημα μας και να σώσουμε τα πάντα (λογισμικό, κανάλια, ρυθμίσεις) στο usb stick,  σε μορφή αρχείου λογισμικού :  backup.abs.

Πάμε Menu – Εργαλεία – Αναβάθμιση μέσω USB. και επιλέγουμε Τύπος Αναβάθμισης : Backup System. Από κάτω, στο πεδίο  “Aρχείο Αναβάθμισης”,  εμφανίζεται αυτόματα το όνομα του αρχείου που θα δημιουργηθεί : Backup.abs .   Πατάμε Έναρξη και δημιουργείται αυτόματα στο USB. Stick, ένα αρχείο με όνομα : Backup.abs .

Aργότερα, αυτό το αρχείο, μπορούμε να το φορτώσουμε στο δέκτη, ή σε άλλο δέκτη καινούργιο,  επιλέγοντας στο δέκτη Τύπο Αναβάθμισης :  Λογισμικό + Ρυθμίσεις (Τα κανάλια θα διαγραφούν).

Σημείωση :  Σε αυτήν την περίπτωση τα κανάλια δεν θα διαγραφούν, διότι εσωκλείονται στο Backup.abs λογισμικό, που εμείς έχουμε δημιουργήσει.
